Lamb, unleavened bread, and bitter herbs are symbolic foods eaten by the Jews for celebrating Passover, to commemorate how God sent Moses to lead them out of Egypt and free them from slavery. Jesus also instituted the Sacrament of the Eucharist at Passover. He became the new paschal lamb and offered a bloodless sacrifice through bread and wine. Food for Thought presents a dish of lamb shoulder and explores lessons of the lamb in the Bible.
