耶穌稱謝父親

瑪竇福音 11:25-27 耶穌感謝天主願意把祂啟示給宗徒,卻不讓自以為是的經師和法利賽人得知:「父啊!天地的主宰!我稱謝你,因為你將這些事瞞住了智慧和明達的人,而啟示給小孩子。」 當耶穌說「智慧和明達的人」,其實不是指這些人有真正的智慧,而是他們熟讀經書,滿口道理,表面上顯得很有見識。可是天主卻沒有讓他們認出耶穌就是默西亞。留意耶穌並不是說天主啟示給愚蠢的人,而是給小孩子——單純沒受過教育的人。這是在訓導我們,凡事該尋求謙卑,不要驕傲。誰不願在主內成為孩子,卻自負為智者的人,反而成為愚蠢的。 因著父子之間共通的見識,耶穌教導我們,子的一切都是從父而來,而且除了父外,沒有人認識子;同樣,除了子之外,也沒有人認識父,但誰因著啟示而認識子的,也會認識父。這確認聖父和聖子確是同性同體,密不可分。 (本文以英文為準)

憑著信德

出谷紀 2:1-15 埃及人由於視以色列人為威脅,法郎於是下令所有希伯來人所生的男孩,都要被丟在尼羅河裏。梅瑟的母親保存他的性命,沒有讓他溺斃,是違抗了法律。她把梅瑟藏了三個月,然後讓他在尼羅河上飄浮。誰會想到這個男嬰,更能奇蹟被救起,八十年後更是帶領以色列民出埃及的英雄?天主利用梅瑟母親看似沒用的舉動,成就了祂的聖意。 天主召叫我們為祂做的事,很多時看似毫無用處,我們不明白我們花的時間和精力,最終究竟可以改變些什麼。但天主藉著梅瑟的母親讓我們知道,只要做的是合乎祂的旨意,祂自然會悅納我們的付出,達到遠超乎我們想像的事。 要承行祂的旨意,我們靠的是信德,而不靠肉眼所看到的。在這信德年,讓我們求聖神堅固信德,令祂的旨意得到實踐。 Exodus 2:1-15 Since the Egyptians saw the people of Israel as a threat, as a result, Pharaoh commanded that every boy born to the Hebrews should be thrown into the river. Moses’ mother saved his life. By hiding the baby for three months, then putting him in a basket to float on the river, she violated the law. Who would have thought that this baby would be saved miraculously, and that eighty years later, the Lord would use him to set the Israelite nation free from slavery? The Lord took a seemingly useless act of Moses’ mother, to fulfill His divine will. Often times, the Lord calls us to do things that seem useless. We do not understand how the time and effort we spend could make any difference in the end. But with Moses’ mother, God tells us that as long as we act in accordance to His will, He would bless our offering, and leverage it to achieve something far greater than our expectations. In order to act according to God’s will, we have to rely on our faith and not our sight. In this Year of Faith, may the Holy Spirit increase our faith, so that God’s will may be done.

耶穌:分裂的緣由

瑪竇福音 10:34-11:1 – 聖文德 (主教、聖師) (紀念) 耶穌囑咐宗徒在進入那一家時說「願這一家平安」,天使讚頌天主說「天主受享光榮於高天,主愛的人在世享平安!」這就是最圓滿的平安,當一切不健全、一切導致不和的被除去,天堂就該是這樣與人間結合。這就像醫生為救一個人而把壞死的肢體切除一樣。 當聖保祿吩咐我們要聽從父母(厄弗所書 6:1),我們不感到意外;我們只該在不損害我們對天主的虔敬的情況下聽從他們。我們尊敬他們當然是對的,但當他們要求超過他們應得的,我們便不該退讓。這跟舊約的教導吻合,任何人若拜偶像,都要被處死。即使那是自己的父母和兄弟,都要當成是陌生人一樣。 耶穌更教導宗徒們更高層次的教義。沒有什麼比一個人的性命更重要,但祂要我們為祂的緣故,在十字架上捨棄自己的性命。 要背基督的十字架有兩個途徑,一是我們克制肉體上的享樂,或以憐憫的心對待我們的近人,把他的痛苦當成是自己的一樣。但要留意的是有些人不是為天主而克己,而為在別人前炫耀。這些人看似背著十字架,但卻沒有跟隨天主;因此耶穌特別在後面加上「跟隨我」。 耶穌也承諾更大的償報,說:「誰接納一位先知,因他是先知,將領受先知的賞報」。祂沒有單單說「誰接納一位先知,或一位義人」,但說「因他是先知」和「因他是義人」。耶穌說這話顯示出祂作為中保的角色,而由於祂由天主而來,當我們接待祂,天主便透過祂進入我們內;而藉著這恩寵,我們接待宗徒就像接待天主一樣;因為基督在他們內,就像天主在基督內一樣。 (本文以英文為準)

慈愛的撒瑪黎雅人

路加福音 10:25-37 耶穌在福音中形容的撒瑪黎雅人,其實就是祂自己。祂在我們還在罪惡中跌倒、受傷、甚至半死不活時,看顧了我們,讓我們透過祂建立的聖事得到重生、治癒,還把我們帶回祂那永恆的羊棧。當祂說:「你去,也照樣做吧!」就是教我們跟隨祂一樣,懷著憐憫的心,毫無保留地照顧近人的需要。 根據當時的風俗,撒瑪黎雅人不但與猶太人不相往來,甚至互相鄙視,但耶穌口中的撒瑪黎雅人在遇見從耶路撒冷下來卻遭遇了強盜的人時,卻因著一顆憐憫的心,願意打破隔閡為他處理傷口,帶他到客店照料。 其實仔細想想,這樣做不但冒險、費時,也很昂貴。撒瑪黎雅人不知道受傷的人是否強盜假扮,或附近會否埋伏了他的同黨,所以停下來看顧他是很危險的。他也可能正匆忙路過;為這陌生的傷者停下來,再送他到客店,不但耽誤了行程,甚至還要改道而行。最後他為這陌生人對店主說:「請你小心看護他!不論額外花費多少,等我回來時,必要還給你。」店主將要他付的費用,他真的付得起嗎? 我們在幫助別人前,總會衡量自己有沒有時間、能力和金錢,還會看看那人的身份,但耶穌的教導,卻是要我們看別人的需要為先,這就是愛人如己的表現。 「你去,也照樣做吧!」 Luke 10:25-37 Jesus is the Good Samaritan described in His parable. While we’re still trapped, wounded and half-dead in sin, He came and picked us up. With His sacraments He continues to heal and strengthen us, and guide us into His everlasting kingdom. When He said: “Go and do likewise,” he is telling us to follow Him, to reach out to our neighbors in need, with compassion and without reservation. At the time of Jesus’ teaching, Samaritans had nothing to do with Jews, and some even despised one another. Yet the Samaritan that Jesus described not only stopped for the victim who came down from Jerusalem, he also treated his wounds and brought him to an inn to care for him out of compassion. This is not only risky, time-consuming, and can also cost a lot of money. The injured person can be a robber in disguise, so approaching him can be dangerous. The Samaritan may be in a hurry, so stopping for the stranger to take care of his wounds and then carrying him to an inn, not only delayed his trip, but can very well interrupt his original itinerary. 被迫害也無懼

瑪竇福音 10:24-33 因為門徒將受到迫害,所以耶穌事先安慰他們,說這些迫害都是衝著祂而來,雖然作為門徒他們不能倖免於難,但他們不用害怕。留意耶穌如何把祂的門徒放在高於其他人的位置,以鼓勵他們不要看重憂慮、責備和危險,即使與最可怕的死亡本身相比,都不及那位能把人身體和靈魂同毀滅在地獄的上主可怕。祂的安慰話無可比擬,給祂的門徒信心,在任何威脅、惡言、或敵人的勢力下都堅定不移。 另外,那些把兩隻麻雀賣一個銅錢的,如在說那些把自己出賣給小罪的人 —— 本應生來是為飛往天國,卻因現世的享樂而被餌誘,給賣到市場。象徵我們把罪買回來,卻出賣了自己的靈魂和肉身。靈魂與肉身能一起無罪地升天固然好,但要提防肉身把靈魂也一起拉到地獄去。 我們該記住沒有一個人喪亡而天主會不知道的;就是我們的頭髮,天主都一一數過了。所以耶穌安慰我們:「不要怕,你們比許多麻雀還貴重呢。」 耶穌的話驅除門徒的恐懼外,還鼓勵他們宣講真理,給他們充滿希望的承諾:「凡在人前承認我的,我在我天上的父前也必承認他。」這承認耶穌的力量,其實不是出於我們自己,而是從天主而來的恩典。 留意耶穌說的處罰比所作的惡加倍,獎賞也比所行的善加倍;我們在這裡怎樣承認或否認祂,祂也會在父前怎樣承認或否認我們。 因此你做了任何好事,並沒有得到報答,不要失望,因更大的賞報正在前面等著你。反之,如果你做了任何惡事卻沒得到刑罰,不要認為你已經逃脫;除非你變得更好,否則刑罰必追上你。 (本文以英文為準)

里約熱內盧世青節苦路敬禮傳揚共融訊息

今年在巴西里約熱內盧的世青節,將會在7月26日於Arpoador及Selarón等景點舉行苦路敬禮。共有280名義工在苦路的每一處重演基督的經歷。遊行將歷時1小時15分鐘。每一處都與青年在現今世界所面對的問題有關,例如:出外傳教的青年、社交網絡的青年、患重病的青年等。教宗方濟各將會在主舞台上主持禮儀。在主舞台上將會顯示其餘13處的情形,讓教宗能真正參與在每一處所發生的事。 The Rio Stations of the Cross speak of the suffering of Jesus as expressed in the youth of today. The route taken by Jesus in the city of Jerusalem will be recreated in the Stations of the Cross on July 26 in the setting of Rio de Janeiro, such as at the Rock of Arpoador and the Selarón Staircase in Lapa. There will be 14 stations, with 13 of them set along 900 meters of the central median of Atlantic Avenue and the final at the central stage, where Pope Francis will be. The cast will consist of 280 volunteers who will enact the stations throughout the approximately 1 hour and 15 minute procession. Each of the stations will relate to one of the questions facing youth in the modern world: missionary youth; youth in social networks; youth with terminal illness etc. Pope Francis will preside at the main stage. 機警如蛇,純樸如鴿子

瑪竇福音 10:16-23 在今天的福音中,耶穌告訴我們,福傳者被派遣出外去傳揚福音,就像羊群被放在狼群中一樣。由於我們放棄採取暴力,我們完全沒有自衛的能力。在外面有狼想消滅我們,我們所宣揚愛、公義與和平的訊息被他們視為威脅。耶穌告誡我們要像蛇一樣機警,但卻要像鴿子般純樸。當面對世界的一切,我們要運用創意;但要保持一份純真,不是幼稚,但別因為要達到好的目的而做任何惡事。 自古以來,直至現在也是,很多追隨基督的人都因為這個身份而要面對審判、恐嚇或折磨。這是我們為基督和福音作見證的機會。當我們被「交出」時,耶穌叫我們不要憂慮該說什麼,我們可從宗徒大事錄中多次見到,當門徒被捕和盤問時,他們不用想該說些什麼,但他們完全沒有恐懼。 耶穌在這篇福音最後的話令人傷感,但祂所說的都是真的。跟隨耶穌可以令家庭分裂。我們自領洗的一刻就加入了一個新的家庭,有新的義務。我們承諾天主去愛,去追隨真理和公義。如果我們的父親叫我們違背福音的話,我不能聽從他;如果我的兄弟要我跟罪惡同流合污,我不能聽從他。要作這些選擇並不容易,但不選擇基督的後果只有更壞。 耶穌說:「幾時人們在這城迫害你們,你們就逃往另一城去」。祂從來沒叫我們要令自己受迫害,但若我們沒法到別處去,這就是我們不作妥協,為福音作見證的時候。 Matthew 10:16-23 In today’s gospel passage, Jesus told us that those who are sent to spread the Good News are like sheep being placed in the midst of wolves. We are in a way defenceless because we renounce any use of violence. There are wolves out there eager to destroy us because, despite our message of love, justice and peace, we are seen as a threat to their activities and ambitions. Jesus asked us to be clever as snakes and innocent as doves. In dealing with the world, we have to be creative; but innocent, but innocent, not in the sense of being naive but in the sense of being completely free of even any suspicion of wrongdoing. The end does not justify the means! As has happened so many times and continues to happen, followers of Christ, simply because they are his followers and for no other reason, will be hauled into court, will be the victims of intimidation and torture. 派遣十二宗徒

After they had seen the dead raised, the sea rebuked, and other like wonders, and had had both in word and deed sufficient proof of Jesus’ power, then He sends them. The kingdom of heaven is said here to draw close by the faith in the unseen Creator which is bestowed upon us, not by any visible means. The saints are rightly denoted by the heavens, because they contain God by faith, and love Him with affection. Lest the untaught and illiterate should obtain credit when they announced the kingdom of Heaven, Jesus gives the Apostles power to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils, that the greatness of the miracles might back up the greatness of their promises. This exercise of the Lord’s power is wholly entrusted to the Apostles, that they who were formed in the image of Adam, and the likeness of God, should now obtain the perfect image of Christ; and whatever evil Satan had introduced into the body of Adam, this they should now repair by Communion with the Lord’s power. 被選的原因

瑪竇福音 10:1-7 為了把天國的福音傳到各處,耶穌親自挑選了十二宗徒。他們之中有多位漁夫,更有一位是不受歡迎的稅吏。耶穌選的都是普通人。他們有不同的性格,也有弱點和掙扎。耶穌召叫他們,給他們驅魔、治病的能力,不是因為他們本來有什麼過人之處,而是相信他們能在祂的大能和指引下成就大事。當天主召叫我們為祂工作時,讓我們不要想自己不能勝任。天主樂意任用普通人去傳播救恩的喜訊,你願意成為祂的工具嗎? 耶穌吩咐宗徒應宣講「天國臨近了」。這個訊息聽來簡單。甚麼是天國?我們唸天主經時說「願祢的國來臨。願祢的旨意奉行在人間,如同在天上」。我們祈求天主旨意在我們的身上得到實踐,如果人人都這樣祈求,天國便會臨在人間。 Matthew 10:1-7 In order to spread the Good News of the Kingdom to everywhere, Jesus handpicked the twelve apostles. Among the twelve were fishermen, one of them was even a tax collector – an unpopular figure at the time. Jesus picked common people who did ordinary things. They had different personalities. They had weaknesses and struggles. Jesus called them and gave them the power to drive out evil spirits and to cure diseases, not because they were special. They were chosen not for what they were, but for what they would be capable of becoming under his direction and power. When God calls us to serve Him, we must not think we have nothing to offer. God would like to use common people to spread the Good News of salvation, are you willing to be His tool? Jesus asked the apostles to proclaim: “‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand”. This message is quite simple. What is the Kingdom of heaven? When we pray “Our Father”, we say “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”. We pray that God’s will can be done in us. If everyone prays for God’s will to be done in them, the Kingdom of heaven will be here on earth.

中華諸聖及真福(慶日)

今天,教會紀念中華諸聖和真福。讓我們重溫真福若望保祿二世於2000年10月1日宣佈一百二十位中華殉道先列為教會聖人的講道: 「上主的規誡能悅樂心情!」聖詠上的這句話正好說明奧斯定趙榮和他在中國殉道的一百一十九位同伴的經歷。在流傳下來的見證中,我們可以看到他們當時的心境,他們內心平安,充滿喜樂。 今天教會感謝天主,祂以這些中華兒女的聖德光輝祝福及照耀教會。大禧年不正是光榮他們傑出見證的適當時刻嗎?那十四歲的王亞納不怕逼她背教者威脅,伸著頭頸,容貌煥發地喊道:「天堂的門為大家打開了!」那十八歲的郗柱子,已被砍去了右手,正在繼續被斬時,毫無畏懼地呼喊:「每一塊肉,每一滴血,都告訴你們,我是教友。」 八十五位不同年紀、身份的中國男女,包括:神父、修道人和教友,他們也為同樣的信念和喜悅作了證,他們以獻出生命來肯定自己對基督和對教會永恆不變的忠貞。這些事蹟發生在幾個世紀之間和中國歷史上一個複習和艱困時代。現在舉行的禮儀不是為那些歷史階段作評斷的適當時刻,這樣的評斷可以、也應該在另一個場合進行。今天,教會舉行這個隆重的宣聖大典,目的只在承認那些殉道者的勇敢和言行一致是我們每個人的表率,這對高尚的中華民族是個榮耀。 在殉道者的行列中,也有三十三位男女傳教士。他們遠離自己的家鄉,設法生活在中國人的環境中,他們懷著愛心學習中國人的生活特性,只希望向中國人宣講基督,並為他們服務。他們的墳墓就在那裏,這幾乎意味著他們永遠屬於中國,他們固然有人性的不足,卻真正地熱愛這個國家,為這個國家耗盡一切力量。富格辣主教回答那位握著劍,準備殺他的總督說:「我並沒有害過無何人,卻為不少人謀過幸福。」 願聖母瑪利亞諸聖之后扶持所有基督徒和所有馴服於聖神的人,令基督的光傳遍世界的每個角落。 資料來源: 宣聖禮儀圖片及教宗講道撮要 Today, the Church celebrates the feast of Chinese martyrs. Let us revisit the words of Blessed John Paul II when he canonized the martyrs on October 1, 2000: “The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart” (Responsorial Psalm). These words of the Responsorial Psalm clearly reflect the experience of Augustine Zhao Rong and his 119 companions, martyrs in China. The testimonies which have come down to us allow us to glimpse in them a state of mind marked by deep serenity and joy. Today the Church is grateful to her Lord, who blesses her and bathes her in light with the radiant holiness of these sons and daughters of China. Is not the Holy Year the most appropriate moment to make their heroic witness shine resplendently? Young Ann Wang, a 14-year-old, withstood the threats of the torturers who invited her to apostatize. Ready for her beheading, she declared with a radiant face: “The door of heaven is open to all”, three times murmuring: “Jesus”. And 18-year-old Chi Zhuzi, cried out fearlessly to those who had just cut off his right arm and were preparing to flay him alive: “Every piece of my flesh, every drop of my blood will tell you that I am Christian”. 女兒,放心吧!

瑪竇福音 9:18-26 在聖經中,耶穌稱讚的人不多,患血漏病的女人就是其中一個。雖然這女人只是跟在耶穌後面偷偷摸了祂的衣服,甚至對祂說話都不敢,祂卻對她說:「女兒,放心吧!你的信德救了你。」 一句簡單的說話,便顯出了天主仁慈的心。祂安慰她叫她放心,因為祂知道她心中害怕,還稱呼她為女兒,並說她是因自己的信德而得救。當然她的病好了,其實需要耶穌的願意,但耶穌沒有把功勞歸於自己,反而在眾人前稱讚她,可見在耶穌眼中,她的信德是珍貴的,並因這信德,她不但得到醫治,還被稱作女兒。相比起後來首長家裏那些譏笑耶穌的群眾,這女人的信德確是特別的。 我們有時對於自己的需要可能連求,也會難於啟齒,但不要害怕,讓我們記住耶穌是溫和良善的,祂不會笑我們,卻會叫我們放心,所以我們要有信心把生命中令我們無助的事情交托給祂。 Matthew 9:18-26 In the bible, there aren’t many examples of Jesus praising people, but praising the faith of this woman suffering hemorrhages for twelve years is one. Although this woman didn’t even have the courage to speak to Jesus, and just quietly followed Him and touched the tassel on His cloak; Jesus said to her, “Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you.” Jesus showed His merciful heart through this simple statement. He comforted her since He knew she was afraid, and probably ashamed of her sickness which made her unclean. He also called her daughter and said she was cured because of her faith. Jesus did not give credit to Himself, though He was the one who cured her, but praised her in front of the crowd. We can see that Jesus is touched by her faith, and this faith not only saved her, but made her a daughter. Compared to those who ridiculed Jesus at the official’s house, this woman’s faith is indeed special. Sometimes when we need help, we may not even dare to ask, due to lack of courage, shame, or having hard time finding the right words to say, but do not be afraid, let us remember that Jesus is our gentle and merciful Lord. 路加福音 10:1-12,17-20 沒有人懷疑十二宗徒預示主教這聖職,因此我們也要明白七十二位門徒代表司鐸的聖職。 梅瑟在天主的命令下,挑選了七十位長老,天主把神能賦給他們。而在戶籍紀中也記載了以色列的子民到了厄林,那裡有十二水泉和七十株棕櫚樹。當我們尋求屬靈的滋養,我們會找到十二水泉,就是宗徒,我們從他們那裡吸收救恩的知識;而那七十株棕櫚樹就是耶穌在今天福音中選定的那些。棕櫚樹有強壯的樹幹,紮根很深,也結很多果實,總是生長在水源旁,樹葉總是朝天。 耶穌派門徒兩個兩個出外傳福音,是因為他們要遵守兩個誡命,要愛主和愛人(而愛需要有最少兩人才能實踐),這向我們暗示誰若不愛他人,就不能擔當傳福音的職務。要兩人一起服務,從聖言看來是自古已有的傳統。天主透過梅瑟和亞郎兩人帶以色列民出埃及。而若蘇厄和加肋布也一起安撫被十二位偵探煽動的民眾。因此有這樣的說法,「一位弟兄如有另一位相助,有如一座堅固的城。」 很多人被授予權力以後,便激烈地迫害隸屬他的人。而因他們沒有慈悲之心,他們渴望操控別人,忘記了他們應當像父親一樣。他們以權力的提升取代謙遜。另一方面,我們必須記得,有如小羊被送入狼群中一樣,我們不應惡意攻擊任何人。誰若擔當傳福音的職務,就不應行惡事,而要忍耐;即使有時正直的熱心使我們想嚴厲地對待他人,我們仍應以一份慈父的心去愛那些人。 每一位真正的福傳者,都不會為現世的賞報而傳福音,而是希望有更大的力量去傳福音,在來世才得到真正的賞報。如果任何人為了人的讚譽和利益而傳福音,他就不會得到永遠的賞報。 (本文以英文為準)
