Doubting Thomas

...In this Sunday’s Gospel reading, we hear that Thomas refused to believe when the other disciples told him that they had seen the risen Lord. He said, “Unless I … put my finger … in his side, I will not believe.” (John 20:25) When Jesus appeared to his disciples again a week after His Resurrection (John 20:26)...sometimes we face a big challenge in life, a great sorrow or an irreparable loss. In our helplessness and hopelessness, have we doubted like Thomas did when the loss of Jesus was too great for him to bear?

By Grace We Are Saved Through Faith

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life” (John 3:16) is the key message in this Sunday’s Gospel reading. In the Lenten season, the Passion of Christ is a stark reminder of God’s love for us. Christ died on the Cross for our salvation.

Do everything for the glory of God

Leprosy carried with it a social stigma in Old Testament times. Because of the infectious nature of the disease, the laws of Moses stipulated that the inflicted person “shall wear torn clothes and let the hair of their head be disheveled” and cried out “Unclean, unclean” so that people could keep a safe distance from catching the disease from them (Lv 13:1-2).
