New Year 2017

Happy New Year to you and your family!
As 2016 passes us by, we remember with fond memories a year of many divine graces and ministry breakthroughs, of which we will highlight just a few below.
A highlight of 2016 took place on January 2, when we organized the first Chinese Catholic Conference hosted by the Chinese Pastoral Council of the Archdiocese of Toronto. Over 1,000 Chinese Catholics gathered together to learn about the meaning of mercy from Archbishop Savio Hon and a number of other speakers and experienced a grace-filled day of worship and fellowship. Production-wise, we went on mission/filming trips to the Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe near Chicago, Dominican Republic and Jamaica. We also attended the North America Chinese Catholic Apostolate Convention in San Francisco, where we networked and shared the vision of our apostolate with representatives from Chinese Catholic communities from coast to coast, and as far as New Zealand. We launched our first weekly Mandarin online TV program “Open the Scriptures” by Deacon Paul Ma, which has gained much popularity. In celebration of the Jubilee of Mercy, we launched a “Footprints of Mercy” campaign, publishing multi-media resources, such as weekly infographics and short videos.
We want to thank you for your spiritual and financial support without which FLL would not be able to continue our mission to spread God’s love in this troubled world. In 2017, we hope to continue journeying with you as we look forward to another blessed year filled with spiritual joy and growth!
May God bless you and your family in the new year!
