真正有福

在今天的福音中，我們看到一個婦人對耶穌十分敬慕，她說：「懷過你的胎，及你所吮吸過的乳房，是有福的！」她的話同時也是對聖母的稱羨。耶穌聽到這話，趁機教導眾人怎樣才算是真正有福，祂說：「那聽天主的話而遵行的人，更是有福的！」

年紀輕輕的瑪利亞，聆聽天主藉著天使加俾額爾對她說的話，願意接受天主的揀選，她說：「看！上主的婢女，願照你的話成就於我罷！」(路加福音 1:38)自那刻開始，聖言成了血肉。聖母的一聲「願意」令聖子降生成人，她一直聆聽並實踐耶穌的話，一直到十字架下。

耶穌的話指出了聖母瑪利亞有福的真正原因。我們領受、聆聽天主的話，有否把聖言在生活中實踐？讓我們向聖母學習吧！

In today's Gospel, we read that a woman called out to praise Jesus, she said: "Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed." That was a tribute to Jesus but also to His mother. When Jesus heard this, He took the opportunity to teach us the true source of greatness. He said: "Blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it."

Mary as a young virgin listened to God's words through Archangel Gabriel. She chose to say "Yes". She said: "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." (Luke 1:38) From that moment on, the Word became flesh. Mary's "Yes" led to the Incarnation. She listened to Jesus and honoured her "Yes" all the way to the foot of the cross.

What Jesus said points out the true source of Mary's greatness. As Christians, we receive and listen to the word of God. But do we observe it in our daily lives? Let us learn from Mother Mary!
