Fr. Anthony Ho continues to describe to us the history of the early Church. This time, Fr. Ho speaks on St. Jane Frances de Chantal who was born in Sixteenth Century France. When she was young, St. Jane centered her life on helping the poor, raising her children and meditative prayer. After she met St. Francis de Sales, he constantly reminded her of her role as a lay woman and to live her life as a holy mother and housewife. As her children began to grow up, St. Francis allowed her to join his newly founded order, the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary (also known as Visitation Sisters), to become a member of the Sisters. St. Jane passed away in 1641 at the age of 69, and was later canonized in 1767.
