As a registered Federal Charity in Canada, Fountain of Love and Life (FLL) must comply with all Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations and mandatory annual filing requirements.
- Independent Audits: Every year, FLL engages independent external auditors to conduct a comprehensive audit of our financial statements.
- Regulatory Filing: These audited statements are submitted to the CRA alongside our annual T3010 Registered Charity Information Return.
- Record Retention: In compliance with CRA requirements, we maintain detailed books and records for a minimum of six years. This ensures FLL is prepared for potential CRA verification at any time, should FLL be selected for additional audit.
The following financial summary is based on FLL’s audited financial statements, supplemented with additional information provided by management to help our supporters better understand FLL’s financial position. The summary is reviewed by the Finance Committee and the Board of Directors, all of whom are independent of management.

Donated Stocks for Renovation Project – We have a bold and hope‑filled dream. The building we acquired in 2023 is more than a property to us. We envision it becoming a fully equipped Evangelization Centre in Toronto, a spiritual home that will energize and sustain Chinese Catholic evangelization locally and around the world.
Although we hope to launch the Renovation Project fundraising campaign soon, the current economic volatility makes it challenging to set a reliable fundraising target. Even so, when we shared this dream privately with several of our supporters, they responded with remarkable generosity, especially in 2025. Some chose to donate investments with strong potential for long‑term growth. We will steward these donated stocks as a reserve fund dedicated to the future Renovation Project.
Investment Returns – When FLL has surplus cash, we invest it in money market funds to generate interest income. We also receive dividend income from the donated stocks entrusted to us since 2021. Together, these earnings help sustain our daily operations and ensure that every contribution is managed prudently in support of our mission to evangelize the Catholic faith.
In 2025, the strong financial markets led to notable increases in the market value of the donated stocks received since 2021. At the same time, FLL remains mindful that market values fluctuate, and the actual gains realized upon sale may differ from current valuations.
