On the 3rd Sunday of Ordinary Time (Year C), Fr. Anthony Ho describes to us the story of Jesus’ public reading of the bible passage about Himself from the Gospel of Luke. Fr. Ho advises us to read the bible daily, and tells us the story of one of the original contemplatives, St. Anthony the Abbot. His life of hardship and discipline has become the traditional standard for contemplatives, and is a witness which strengthened the faith of early Christians. Finally, his defense of the faith against the Arian heresy is also a contribution that should not be forgotten.
